Oriole Park at Camden Yards - General Information
|
Capacity:
45,971 |
Attendance:
26,374 (57% capacity) since 2010 |
Ticket Availability:
Since opening in 1992, Oriole Park at Camden Yards has been acclaimed as a great ballpark in which to enjoy a game. Crowds have fluctuated over the years as the performance of the team has, but
this is still a great ballpark to explore, and Baltimore Oriole fans are among the most knowledgable in the game. With attendance in the mid 20's per game, there will be plenty of seats available
directly from the Orioles, but often the best seats and the best prices can be found online at reputable brokers such as
Ticket Network
and Vivid Seats.
We always recommend comparison shopping to find the best deals.

Best View at Oriole Park at Camden Yards
Club Box 216-254:
Great view to catch all the action from press box level and between the dugouts. As shown below, in section 248 you not only have a great view of the game, but you have an
aesthetically pleasing view of the warehouse in the background. Tickets in these sections can be found around $40 for midweek games
online,
but will fluctuate based on opponent (Yankees will cost more than the Oakland A's, for example.)
Field Box 20-54:
If being close to the action is more of your preference, you can't go wrong with Field Box seats in sections 20-54

Best Value Sections at Camden Yards
Upper Reserve Sections 312-348:
We have found these seats on
Ticket Network for under $10,
which is less than the listed box office price from the Orioles. The view is actually not bad for this price, and sections 312-348 are behind the plate/between the dugouts. Note that the rows rise rapidly upward in these sections, so a bit of climbing is involved.
Left Field All-Inclusive Picnic Perch:
If you think you can benefit from an All-You-Can-Eat ballpark food arrangement, you might consider these seats, on the club level in Left Field. Ranging from $45-$60, the value in these seats
is not held in the view from the bistro tables out here, but is in the unlimited hot dogs, nachos, salad (for the healthy types), soft drinks, etc. These are hard to come by on the secondary market, so
your best bet is to buy directly from the Orioles.
Upper Reserve Section 340 - Great Value (found under $10)!

Best Seats for Families
Terrace Box 11-15:
These seats down the right field line are very close to 2 attractions that may interest children, depending on their age: Eutaw Street, the alley
alongside the B&O Warehouse in right field, and Kid's corner, located by Gate C, right behind these sections. Kids Corner has games and playground-type
amenities that may be enjoyable to the little one's. Seating in these sections provide shade, and can be found
online for under $15!

Best sections for the Social Scene
Drink Rails 268-280
Located on the club level behind Club Box sections 272-280, these are ticketed, open air seats in the left field corner. There is just one row of these, and the view is actually good.
Additionally, being on the Club level will get you access to the climate-controlled concourse, additional bars, the All-Star Cafe & Boogs BBQ, and separate bathrooms from the rest of the stadium,
which generally keeps lines down. Tickets for these sections are best available straight from the Orioles, prices ranging from $33 - $50 depending on day of week and opponent.
Batter's Eye Rooftop
There are some seats up here available on a first-come first-serve basis, but outside of scoring these seats, there is a bar with outdoor lounge seating that usually
draws a good crowd. Getting a good view of the game action may not be ideal out here, but the lively crowd provides plenty of entertainment.
Dempsey's BrewPub
Located within the warehouse out on Eutaw Street, this brewpub/restaurant opens with gates, 2 hours before gametime. Enjoy a cold one in an air-conditioned environment!
Only ticketed guests are allowed in here from the time gates open until closing time on game days.

Best Sections for impressing guests
Club Box 216-254:
Great seats with a great view on the Club Level. In these sections, you have access to separate bars, lounges, and restrooms on a climate controlled concourse that is
generally a little less crowded than on street level. The view is much better than the upper level, and these sections only contain 5-10 rows. In some areas, in-seat wait
service is available, but the lack of crowds up here tends to deem that unnecessary. Incredibly, seats in these sections have been found for about $40
online
through the secondary market!

Best seats to catch a ball
Left Field Lower Box 74-84:
The best time and best place to catch a baseball is during batting practice in the left field lower box seats, sections 74-84. Gates open 2 hours prior to game time,
when batting practice is in full swing. Batting practice usually ends about 45 minutes before game time, so the window of opportunity is there for those that show up early
enough. Note that teams typically do not take batting/infield practice before afternoon games, so plan accordingly!

Best seats for getting autographs
Lower Box sections 10-14 and 60-64:
Your best bet to get autographs is to get into the ballpark when gates open, 2 hours before gametime and proceed directly to sections 10-14 (Orioles autographs) or
sections 60-64 (visitors). Security will generally allow you to hang out in these areas until 45 minutes before gametime, when batting practice ends. At that point, only fans
with tickets for these sections will be allowed to remain. Note that batting practice does not alway occur for afternoon games, so there may be fewer players milling around before
those games. Also, the home team takes batting practice first, so the window to seek autographs from Orioles is much shorter.

Unique Seats at Camden Yards
Batter's Eye Rooftop:
Located directly in centerfield above the green "batter's eye", this bar area has a couple rows of seats that face the field. These have been both ticketed seats and
first-come, first-serve in the past, but have been told these are currently first-come seats now. If you want these, but a cheap seat and proceed here early - gates open 2 hours
before the game. There is a bar located up here, as well as a number of lounge chairs. The view may not be great, but this provides an atmosphere similar to what you'd experience
on a Wrigley rooftop or atop the Green Monster in Boston.
